Avoiding Unsolicited EmailsAvoiding Unsolicited Emails- Everybody hates those unsolicited emails, aka spam mail! There are ways of avoiding unsolicited emails both as a receiver and sender. We are going to list some of the most common and effective ways you can avoid spam email. While this website is mainly dedicated to businesses using email as a marketing tool, there are some non business readers. That is why we feel it is important that we provide some valuable tips to avoid unsolicited emails as a receiver. Here are a few proven ways to avoid spam mail. 1) Never open any emails that you don't know who they are from. When spam emails are sent, they are sent not knowing if there is a recipient or not. Once you click on the spam email and open it that verifies that the email address is legit. Those legit email addresses are then used over and over in the future. As tempting as those spam emails are, don't fall for them. They are never legit! 2) Use multiple email addresses. Have a primary email address that you give to your friends, family, and reliable sources. Sign up for a free email address and give that out to anybody other than those mentioned above. This way if you get unsolicited emails it won't bother you as much because it is a junk email address. Even with this, we still recommend you don't open the spam email. 3) Almost every website in which you enter your email address, there is a box that says click here to receive emails. If you have to register for a site and don't want their emails, simply unclick that box. This will prevent you from receiving unsolicited emails. Those are three proven ways that recipients can avoid receiving unsolicited emails. Now what about the businesses sending those emails. To begin with, there are two types of businesses that send emails; legit and non legit. Non legit businesses don't care about making people upset with spam mail so they aren't even reading this article! Legit businesses know that if you send an unsolicited email to a recipient it can potentially cost you a sale in the future. That email will get them mad and they will tell somebody and the chain will go on forever. Worse off unsolicited emails can lead to having your site shut down if enough people complain to your host. While the idea of buying an email list and then participating in a bulk email marketing campaign can sound good, you have to know what you are doing. There are legit sites out that can help you do this the right way. You are already one step ahead of the next person by reading our website and reviews. The companies we recommend do email marketing the legit way. There are some ways though that you can avoid sending unsolicited emails by yourself. 1) If you accept email inquires on your website or require an email address to be submitted, make sure you have an opt out box for them to check. This is the same thing that we talked about above. Give the readers the ability not to receive unsolicited emails. 2) Make your emails more personable and review each address. Yes this can take a lot longer that sending out one bulk spam email, but we bet you are going to have more success and anger less people. Related Article: CAN-SPAM Act >>
